Colt McCoy – QB – Texas

At 6′2 210 lbs Colt McCoy lacks a little of the necessary size that you look for in an NFL quarterback. However, what he lacks in size he makes up for with great athleticism,  impeccable leadership skills, and terrific work ethic. As far as throwing ability is concerned, McCoy is a very accurate passer, but his arm strength leaves a lot to be desired.  In Texas’ spread offense McCoy operates primarily out of the shotgun in 3-4 WR sets. He will need to prove to NFL scouts that he can work from under center both passing and handing off the football.

Projected 2010 NFL Draft Position: Late first, early second round.

Tim Tebow – QB – Florida

Like McCoy, Tim Tebow is an extremely gifted athlete with terrific leadership abilities. Also like McCoy, his ability to compete at the professional level has been questioned. Tebow has most definitely developed some bad habits in Urban Meyer’s offense at Florida, so any team that drafts him will have their work cut out for them developing Tebow.  Still, teams will find it hard to resist drafting a 6′3 240 lb. quarterback with off the charts intangibles.

Similar Player: None

Projected 2010 NFL Draft Position: Hard to say. Our Draft Master sees the Oakland Raiders taking a shot at Tebow early in the first round.  He could slip from there to somewhere in the second or third round.

Ndamukong Suh – DT – Nebraska

Perhaps the best pro prospect of the group, he is seen by some as a can’t miss draft pick.  Suh is extremely explosive off the snap and demands a double team on nearly every play.  At 6′4 305 lbs. he is too small to be a 3-4 NT, but he’s athletic enough to be converted into a 3-4 DE.  Suh increased his stock even higher by dominating the massive Texas Longhorns offensive line in the Big 12 Championship game.  There is some injury concern due to multiple knee surgeries.

Similar Player: Trevor Pryce

Projected 2010 NFL Draft Position: Top 3 First Round.

Mark Ingram – RB – Alabama

Ingram burst onto the scene this year with his powerful running style and ability to recognize and attack holes in the defense.  His pass blocking abilities are limited, but he has plenty of time to develop as he is only a Sophomore.

Similar Player: Ricky Williams

Projected 2010 NFL Draft Position: Not Eligible.

Toby Gerhart – RB – Stanford

The leading rusher in the FBS, Toby Gerhart has been tearing up Pac-10 defenses all year long.  He is a straight ahead runner that doesn’t avoid contact.  He’s deceptively fast for his size (6′1 235 lbs. 4.55 40 time), so he can hit the edge quickly on outside runs.  Still, Gerhart lacks the elusiveness and breakaway speed NFL scouts desire, and will have trouble finding a role on a team.

Projected 2010 Draft Position: 2nd to 3rd Round
